"Jardín Del Mar" is a beautiful place and exceeded our expectations. We will send a note to Hideaways accordingly so that there will be at least one official rating of JdM on its web site. We had a wonderful relaxing week of sunning, reading, etc. Maria and Jim, of course, were great hosts and we went out to dinner with them twice – once for street taco night in La Cruz and then again, with Mary, for a Valentines Day dinner on the water in Punta De Mita. Maria successfully negotiated quite a bargain for Lynne to purchase a beautiful mother of pearl pendant, earrings, and bracelet from a local street vendor who came in the restaurant. We walked down the beach twice to Bucerias for dinner. We also took the bus into Puerto Vallarta one day for shopping, lunch and dinner. We will certainly return one day to JdM and will recommend to all of our friends that they do the same.” Ed

Just wanted to drop you a quick line to tell you what a fabulous vacation we had in Mexico and Jardín Del Mar. The little Palapa house was just adorable, and we were very comfortable in it. Jim and Maria are the best hosts anyone on vacation could ever ask for, and we absolutely loved every second of our visit! We are going back next year and will stay in either Casa Delfin or Casa Serena, but if we bring another couple we will stay in Casa Maria. How luxurious they all are! It was fantastic, just totally fantastic! Cindy and I had an absolutely wonderful time and were very, very pleased w/ Casa Delfin and Jardín Del Mar in general. Jim & Maria have done such a gorgeous job with the property; we hardly ever wanted to leave!

But we did visit La Cruz, Sayulita and playa distilleria (Maria insists that's not the right name but it's the one we remember), and of course P.V. (esp. my old haunt, "El Set," and new fave "River Cafe.") Taco night was great fun/eating and we went w/ Maria and Jim...both of whom we love. Their hospitality, helpfulness, warmth and generosity were very touching.

What else can I say? We will definitely be back, in whatever family combinations, and I'm sure it will be w/in the year. Thanks so much for your help! Regards from The Palapa Boys, by the way...

Hi from the Nordic tundra... just came across your e-mail address (from Vicki) and a smile came to my face! We had such a wonderful time at Jardín Del Mar... we think of you often. Hope all is well with you and that you are having fun with your guests. We have snow on the ground and the temp is in the 20's.... a heat wave after last week in the 2's! Hugs to you both... It's me, Doug Friedman. We stayed at Jardín... last year. I was just crusing through bookmarked web pages and just wanted to say a quick hello to you and also to both Maria and Jim.

I doubt that they'll remember Paula and me, but we certainly remember them, their hospitality and the fun we had with them. We also have the ceramic doll that Maria gave Paula on our departure.

I could have talked with Jim endlessly-- he's a great guy.

Please say hello to them for us, and hopefully we'll be back to visit soon.

We wanted to pass on to Jim and Maria how much we appreciated their great hospitality.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at such a wonderful paradise and hope to return in the future.

Jardín Del Mar is a tropical jewel. From my arrival to departure, everything was wonderful. Maria and Jim shared great suggestions for special things to discover in the area. Being right on the beach allowed me to take daily long walks, and stop in Bucerias for lunch. I loved the magic hours at dusk, when the last sail boats floated in the bay or a whale spouted. I practiced yoga in the garden with palm trees swaying in the ocean breeze, a hawk overhead and the aqua tile of the rippling pool reflecting the changing sunlight. I can't imagine a more enticing place to stretch your body and invigorate your mind."

"We are back to our normal routine, which is very difficult after having had such a wonderful time at Jardín Del Mar. Each and every day was like a day in an earthly, private paradise. The ocean views and vistas are stunning and unique. The sunrise was a delight. The guest houses were beautiful. My wife and I will undoubtedly be back next year and every year to live in paradise for a few days at a time."

"We loved our guesthouse and it was decorated "very authentically" which we just couldn't get over. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks - couldn't have been better. The grounds are so beautiful, that my pictures do not capture the true beauty of Jardín Del Mar. I just wanted to let you know that we adored staying with Jim and Maria at their lovely guesthouse at Jardín Del Mar. They are both wonderful people and they make you feel very much at home. Jim met all of our needs - whether it came to renting a car, or just being there when we needed him. We will be back."

"I wanted to let you know what an excellent time we had at Jardín Del Mar and with Jim and Maria. As soon as we arrived they made us feel at home. They took us out to dinner in Bucerias the first night to just o­ne of the many excellent restaurants that they referred us to. We would have never found these restaurants o­n our own, so we attribute the great food we ate to Jim and Maria. Since our goal was to have a true "Mexico" experience (not staying in an all inclusive resort!), Jim and Maria were an enormous help advising us where to eat, how to catch the bus, dropping us off in town, and the list goes o­n. They really helped us become comfortable enough to travel around to the towns we wanted to see and have the experience we had anticipated."
